Church of St. Nicholas of Bari

One of the main religious attractions in Muravera is the Church of St. Nicholas of Bari. This sacred building is located in the heart of the historic center of Muravera. The church, built in Catalan Gothic style between the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries during the period of Spanish rule, underwent major restoration in the late sixteenth century. The facade of the church is beige in color and has a gabled roof. The modest front door is made of wood, and above it is a rectangular window with multicolored glass. To the right stands the majestic bell tower with battlements on the square barrel, crowned by four single-arched lancet windows housing the bells.
Saline Tower – Fortress and beach

This promontory is home to the striking Torre delle Saline, an ancient fortress that presents an extraordinary feature from the first glance: it is the only one among the towers of Sardinia’s coastal defense system to have a square-shaped plan. Heading north, at the foot of the tower, lies the beach of Torre Salinas, whose name is naturally linked to the Spanish-era building that dominates it.
