The countdown begins for the 50th edition of the Muravera Citrus Festival, scheduled for April 24-28.
Registration for folk groups, masks, etnotraccas and riders is officially open.
The selection of participants for the April 28 parade will take into account several criteria, including geographic origin, type of costume and number of participants per group, as well as past experience in the event.
At the same time, meetings are underway to organize side events for the festival.
The city administration is inviting schools, associations, merchants, citizens and committees to submit proposals by March 10 to enrich the event’s program.
A meeting was held Feb. 14 in the Piero Loddo Council Chamber at 3 p.m., aimed specifically at merchants, artisans and productive activities, to actively involve them in the organization of the Citrus Festival, one of the area’s most beloved and awaited traditions.
