Nuraghe S'Acqua Seccis

Located on the northern summit of the complex known as “Su Tzippiri” or “Su Zippiri,” our Nuraghe dates back to the Bronze Age period, around the 2nd millennium B.C. It is a fascinating site with a complex structure consisting of a central tower and two side towers.

You can admire the northwest tower, which is almost completely preserved, allowing you to get a close look at the technique used to build the dome ceiling. Inside you will find a niche and three corridors, each with unique features, such as a barrel vault or a lintel entrance. Although we don’t know exactly what they were for, they are certainly intriguing!

Access to the central tower is via a steep but fascinating original staircase. There, you can admire the tholos, which is almost intact, and notice the difference between the exterior and interior construction.

This site is one of the most interesting in the area due to its advanced construction technique and state of preservation. And don’t forget to explore the other sites nearby as well, which testify to the importance of this area through the ages.
